Denise Phipps is owner and CEO of Captions Unlimited of Nevada, Inc. She has been providing captioning and CART services since 1992. Her first foray into the captioning arena consisted of captioning the speeches of former First Lady Barbara Bush, Secretary of State Colin Powell, former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres, and comic Rich Little. Years later, she then captioned President George W. Bush in Reno, Nevada, along with General David Petraeus and other U.S. and foreign dignitaries. More recently, she captioned the Southern Inaugural Ball where both President Obama and Vice President Biden spoke.
Prior to captioning, Denise was a freelance/official court reporter for nearly 20 years, practicing mainly in Reno, Nevada. She has attained the highest designation one can receive from the National Court Reporters Association, and she also holds her Certified Realtime Reporter designation (the first CRR in the state of Nevada) and is a Certified CART Provider and Certified Broadcast Captioner.
Denise frequently lectures and demonstrates the benefits of realtime captioning all over the world.
